I’ve been wanting to be a tree in my next life for a long time. I admire trees for resilience, strength and resistance to injuries and diseases. Unfortunately for me, I am a scientist and an atheist and therefore I don’t really believe in afterlife. But thankfully, I am also a painter who still believes in art and imagination, that they can take me wherever I want to be - through color, shape and texture. Original encaustic piece includes magnets and iron fillings.
