“Attraction”

16”x20”, magnetic sheets, iron filing and mixed media on encaustic. Embedding the filings into the wax preserves the displayed magnetic fields and thus the magnets taped on the back of the panel can be removed once the molten wax hardens.
This is a painting about the dance of two lovers, who are passionately drawn to each other - just like magnets. They are complementing each other in harmony, like yin and yang – meanwhile burning up in the flame of their love together.
