Artist vs scientist - experiment #2: EscaPADE! This painting is a birthday gift for my friend Rob who works at Berkeley Space Labs. In the first picture he (giving thumbs up!) is sitting in one of his cubicle-sized twin satellites designed to sample hot ionized plasma and magnetic fields from Mars. 12”x12” Encaustic & alcohol ink & oil paint - 2019 December 29.
